I just broke the lock tabs on my grand daughters window!! Can they be replaced or do I have to buy a new window?

Any suggestion as to how to remove an internal ("mortised") tilt latch with a broken slide mechanism? The latch is now stuck and the window can't be tilted.

what about the other side of the latch in the frame? how to replace that?
